AI tools might make us more productive, but they don't seem to be making us happier. While many remain neutral, a sizeable chunk of respondents deplored a negative impact on their mental state, correlated with feeling exhausted and disillusioned* about the tech industry overall.

Meanwhile, the most prevalent emotions among those who report a positive mental impact was curiosity–although even within that group, feeling overwhelmed was still quite common.
